I swear, it seems like every single time I update the blog, something else post-worthy happens. Who knows, maybe Aeria's logic is bad press > no press...

Anyway, after yesterday's broken promise, Aeria's Producers and Cave (see also: the new scapegoats... inb4 "my dog calls the shots on how content is released" comments) decided they weren't giving the community the shaft enough, so they decided to go above and beyond the call of asshattery.

Aeria Staff: The community seems to sincerely dislike our mystery boxes.

Aeria Producer: Well you all had better find a way to sell these things.

Aeria Staff: What if we did something like this?

Aeria Producer: FUCKING GENIUS! Have my secretary hold my calls, I'll be pleasuring myself in my office.

And there you have it. Mystery box solution = putting a mystery box inside of a mystery box. As if you had a chance of actually winning the top prize in these boxes, now you have an even less of a chance of actually getting the Summon PG you want. It prints fucking money.

So in today's patch we received the update with the AP Alpha Hack. Aeria at one point stated that it was not in their business model to release the plug-ins for these devils in this fashion. I pointed this out via forums (which was locked faster than I had hoped for) which resulted in Bleach basically admitting he's the biggest idiot on the server.

First off, I'd like to say I sincerely dislike Evilbleachman.

Now that that's out of the way, I really fail to see how someone who doesn't understand the mechanics of the game is a GameSage. It's a well known fact that's the only demons that Bleach ever summons are his Little Demon Lilim and Nightmare Jack Frost. .That alone should show exactly how little he knows about devils... but he felt the need to further prove he knows shit-all about the subject by implying demons obtained from vouchers are the same thing as plug-ins. So I'd like to take this opportunity to explain the difference between a devil that comes from a Demon Voucher and a devil that's made from Demon Fusion. I wasn't aware this was a hard concept to grasp, but apparently for our beloved GameSage it's a tricky subject.

In comparison, they have similar skillsets. However, for those of us who actually play the game and aren't trapped-in-the-closet fashionistas, having a fuseable demon with the Void Death skill would be very handy. Sure, there is always Loa who learns Void Death at 93, but that's a totally different story. There's also the Alice fanboys (also see: pedos) who might want to make their own Alice with their own skillset with moves she doesn't learn on her own. The same goes for the Little Demon Lilim.

Apparently the latter half of the Bleach discussion was deleted, but the term "vanity" was thrown around in regards to Mara. Let's take a look at Mara for a moment:

I don't know about you all, but I think Mara doesn't seem that "vanity" to me, and it shouldn't to anyone else (unless you have a fetish for dick-demons). Sure there's better demons out there, but defaulting with Anti-Death (previously only attainable on our server via leveling Thoth to 92) and Anti-Expel (previously unavailable) makes him a bit more useful than a Nightmare Jack Frost. Mara is also currently the only way of obtaining Mahamudoon, the AoE verison of Mudoon (10% chance of inflicting instant-death).

So Bleach, I challenge you to actually do something other than collect clothes and pretend like you used to be good at this game. At this point the whole server is laughing at how much of a complete failure you are.

Non-Imagine Update

Over the last two weeks it's been nice to take a bit of a break (regardless of it being forced or not) from Imagine. I've had the opportunity to catch up on some other games, got my bass playing chops back up to speed and a few other things. A few highlights include:

Lunar: Silver Star Harmony

For all intents and purposes, Lunar is the Star Wars of RPGs for me. There's other RPGs that may have been more "cutting edge," had a "better story" or whatever; but this was the game that won me over as an RPG fan. This marks the 4th edition of the original game in the series (Sega CD, Sega Saturn/PSX, Gameboy Advance, and now PSP). This version sees yet another graphical update, Alex (the main character) actually has a decent amount of dialogue now, all the original voice actors have been redubbed and all the songs have completely redone lyrics. Personally, I loved the voice cast from the Working Designs releases (as well as the original song lyrics), and it takes a lot out of the game for me as a fan of the originals. There's also a new playable opening that focuses on the Four Heros. While this is fairly cool for a backstory aspect, I would have much rather seen an actual prequel with the Four Heroes instead (and let's just all pretend that Lunar: Dragon Song does not exist). The special abilites from the Gameboy Advance version have found their way onto this release as well, which is a nice added bonus.

In short, this is not the definitive version of Lunar. It's a fantastic release nonetheless and I highly suggest it if you're craving an oldschool RPG. However, if you have a PSX and really want to experience the magic of Lunar, I can't recommend Silver Star Story: Complete enough.

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey

I'm only 16 hours into the game so far, so giving an actual review is a little unfair at this point. What I've played up to this point has been fun. It's a pretty standard SMT game, with a few new additional things like the Demon Co-Op Attack System, Demon Sources, and the Analyze System. Personally I'm slightly disappointed in a few things being taken out (i.e. the Heretic Mansion is gone, no towns, no world map, and I really miss the Press-Turn battle system), but I think most of it was taken out at the sake of portability. I can't complain too much, at least it's not another Persona/Avatar Tuner game. I would have preferred the original Devil Summoner or Soul Hackers to get a US release instead.The story/gameplay feels like a biproduct of what would happen if you put Shin Megami Tensei, John Carpenter's The Thing and Metroid Fusion in a blender. I'm also waiting for Arthur to go HAL 9000 on me a la 2001: A Space Odyseey.

Kämpfer

Let it be known, I don't watch a whole lot of anime. I picked up Kämpfer last week after a few people told me to check it out, and despite all the bad press it recieved, I loved it. It's a hybrid harem/magical girl/gender-bender anime (think Rosario + Vampire meets Ranma 1/2). There's nothing groundbreaking here, just lots of laugh-out-loud humor and a likeable cast of characters (minus Sakura, what a bitch). My favorite character hands down was Akane, close second being Shizuku... and you can't help but love the Entrails Animals. I really hope this show gets picked up for a second season, as this season was only 12 episodes, and it really felt like they were merely setting the stage for things to come. If you enjoy mildly perverted humor and mutilated stuffed animals, I say check it's worth Kämpfer out.

Foxy Shazam

Last Sunday Foxy Shazam came to San Antonio, and as usual they put on one hell of a live performance. I actually went to school with their keyboardist Sky White, so whenever they're in town they typically come by my place to hang out and stay the night. They have a new album coming out on April 13th. I have to be honest, I really don't like their new material every much. It's hard to believe that after experimental and spastic albums like The Flamingo Trigger and Introducing, they're following it all up with area rock that sounds like a modern-day Queen. It's not bad, but it certainly isn't the Foxy Shazam I've spent 5 years listening to. Their live show hasn't suffered one bit though. They still have several tour dates left, and if they're coming to your town it'll be a show you'll never forget.

If any of you all have been keeping up with the lolplasma threads for the past 2-3 weeks, you'd know that Alcadeiass has been preaching about how this patch is a good thing (and agreeably it is), and how people need to learn how to make money properly.

Fastforward to today.

Pearz is officially calling it quits on SMT, so she's giving out all her old gears/consumables/random items left on her character and in her depository. She made a blog post about it with High Tier and Low Tier items, and at the tail end of the post, she stated:

I hope you realize you just rendered every argument you made over the past month completely invalid. Were the diamonds and rubies from Jiko & Friends not enough for you? For those of you unaware of my current situation (or want to confirm the rumors), yes I am banned from Megaten.

As far as the specifics of everything, I'll divulge all that information in due time. For now all I will say is this, as a warning to every other clan in the game:

Be extremely careful of who you let in your clan.

Aeria is now allowing players to change their IGNs.

This has already proven to cause problems, and should not be allowed under any circumstances. Aeria is obviously blind to issues that something like this can cause. This also directly allows players to violate the Terms of Service:

(c) Impersonate any person or entity, including, but not limited to, an AGE official, forum leader, guide or host, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity;

In turn, this allows any player to attain a new alias simply stating they have "account issues" allowing them to:

(j) "Stalk" or otherwise harass another;

I'm currently fighting for my account, so far I've managed to gain access to my account once again; I can log in the forums as well as log on other Aeria-hosted games (i.e. Grand Fantasia), but my access to Megaten is prohibited. I have 3 RTs (all with different issues) and a email to the Admin Team all going on 72 hours with no reply. I find it ironic that sending in an RT with a compliment or something positive takes less than 2 hours to reply to, but when it's something that requires actual attention it goes completely ignored. With each passing day I think Aeria runs less like a company, and more like the set where they're filming The Real World: Santa Clara.

Well since Royce thinks no one else updates I guess I'll post my recent updates too.
I wasn't planning on posting them for another week or so but I'm taking a few days off Megaten so might as well do so now.
So like Royce I've been relatively busy lately for once, I've started up my enhancer again, and though I can't do much about it expertise-wise I have all my gear and crystals done, and it's demon in the making. Yes, just like Royce I've been rebirthing a demon to hell and back. So at the moment here is where he stands.

The stats are those from when summoned on my enhancer, and fully buffed.

In any case, I'd say I'm about halfway done, hopefully I can finish him up sometime next week depending how busy I am.

In other news, I actually leveled Azuno` this weekend, for the first time since I hit 90. I'd been gaining exp from rebirthing Nyar without using any incense and had hit 55% and this weekend 2x came on and I just decided "Ah what the hell I'll finish up" and yeah 2 hours later I was 91. I forgot how much gaining exp with 10x is a joke. I have no plans to hit 92 anything soon though, even though Lilith tempts me.

Also, for some who have noticed, I don't PvP anymore. I lost complete interest suddenly and even my rank seems pointless to bother with, so it's slowly disappearing day by day. Maybe my interest will spark back up when the magical "No incense patch" is actually finished, who knows.

In non-MegaTen news, I picked up White Knight Chronicles a few days ago. I haven't had too much time to play it but it's a DECENT game, it's nothing ground-shaking but it should keep anyone who actually enjoyed FFXII's gameplay entertained til XIII comes out 3 weeks from now. Do not, however, play WKC if you're looking for a good story, within the first 3 hours you'll find the story to be the most cliche'd thing ever, it's been done, re-done, and done over and over again. If anything, the story will have you laughing at how predictable and stupid it is. Atleast that's how I'm managing to keep playing.

I'm Starting To Think I'm The Only One Who Updates...

So after finishing Rhuki last month I decided to pick Phacia back up. Initially she was planned as a Rapid/Enhancer/CotW, but awhile back I ended up lething her completely and made her into a Magic-Bullet/Sharpshooter/CotW. I know this is the second time I've rerolled a character now; and it will be my last. There was a time when every character I was going to make was going to have enhancement; flash forward to now, I feel like pure-builds are more fun and more efficient. The build I use for Royce is able to hybrid as much as it does because it just works that way. Not every class is meant to do that though. Plus, I feel that Rhuki's 47-KO PvP excursion is a prime example of 2 pures working together as a team. Anyway, after a couple weeks of casual playing Phacia is already lvl 82. As I've pointed out before, leveling is a total joke with 5x and 10x being as abundant as they are. Is it bad that I'm more exicted for level 90 just to have class 4 Demonology than I am about finishing my build? I started a pure melee (Xenobia`) a couple weeks ago as well. I have no intentions of PvPing on this character-- I just really wanna try full Thor tarots and Mjolnir.

Other characters I still need to start (or finish) that are currently planned:

Also, I (finally) started rebirthing my Lilith this weekend. At the moment I'm trying to finish up all the additional Close-Range stats I care to add (considering it's all for the sake of only one move), that way I can focus on Spell and Long-Range later on. I think I'm gonna have to start hounding Aeria about the Wyrd rebirth being bugged; it seems to have been completely swept under the rug and forgotten about at this point.

I predict March is going to be a verrrry slow month for Imagine (and slow month = uber promos), with several big-name games on the horizon. Final Fantasy XIII is being released for PS3 on March 9th. I have no extreme expectations for FF13 (it's not like we haven't played the same game 12 times before), but I do plan on getting a PS3 in the coming months just to play this and MGS4. This game will also drag away most any and every RPG fan from whatever it is they're currently playing. Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey comes out for the Nintendo DS on March 23rd in the US. I plan to be escaping Imagine for a couple of weeks around this time. I'm more excited for this game than I have been for any other SMT game since Nocturne came out. The players FF13 doesn't drag away from Imagine, Strange Journey will certainly succeed in doing so. Also, Lunar: Silver Star Harmony comes out on March 2nd for the PSP. If you're not stoked for this game, you're probably too young to remember it. If you consider yourself to be an RPG fan, by all means pick this up. It's not like three of my four characters are named after Lunar characters for no reason....

One last note; I got to see the Polysics in concert on Friday (any show with a double-encore = instant win). Unfortunately it will be the last time I get to see them with their keyboard player, Kayo, who is retiring from the band following this tour. It's truly a marvelous experience seeing the Polysics live, as it's rare for a band to be so energetic and upbeat in their live shows. The US tour is still in motion, so if you have an opportunity to see them I highly recommend it.

US Server On 2ch?

Browsing around today I stumbled across this thread on 2ch, which seems to chronicle the US Server's happenings fairly accurately... as well as talking about the more well-known/notable/infamous players & clans in particular. I'm a little confused as to why my origin is listed as Revert, considering I was never once in that clan. Oh well, 100% factual or not, it's an entertaining read.

Hit level 90 on Rhuki last night... 90 is much less gratifying the second time around.

This is clearly a player who came to the US-server and failed, based on how much QQing they've posted. Just proof that some people on the interwebz are truly disturbed (and will undoubtedly never have sex without paying for it). There's a big difference between doramaz for lolz and being some creepy stalker hentai-freak. Have fun fapping to ASCII-art~

It seems as though lately more people are having trouble grasping the concept of modding their equipment properly. The tradelist has been littered with gears with improper soul stones or slot-modifications. While it's fun to get a laugh out of other people's ignorance, it's also quite sad and a testament to how poorly educated our server really is. If you're going to take the time to modify/enchant one of your gears, make sure of two things:

The piece of equipment you plan to modify/enchant is beneficial to your class/build.
The modification/enchant you plan to do is beneficial to your class/build.

As long as you follow these two basic principles (that really shouldn't even have to be pointed out in the first place), you are halfway on your way to success in this game.

Are You Goofus or Gallant?

Gallant modded his Kotetsu II for +15% Slash to become more efficient at destroying vegetables.

Goofus modded his Avalon-24 for +15% Spread because he has no idea what he's doing. He also bathes in the sink.

The Modification Wall Of Shame
The names have been hidden to save people the embarrassment. These are definite modification failures that would better serve as deconstruction material than the horrible fate these items are suffering.

Exhibit A: The Spingunner

It's a build we all laugh and joke about all the time, but apparently they do exist... and yes, that is a normal Stealth Top, not the reissued ones.

Exhibit B: Killing Two Mods With One Stone

Not that Tanegashimas are "pro guns" to begin with, but here's a good way to make all your modding useless: change the weapon's affinity.

Exhibit C: Microphone Check?

This Enka has literally passed hands at least 5 times now. It's been on the tradelist under different names for at least 2 months. I offered 5k macca in an attempt to just delete the item to put it out of it's misery, but the current seller didn't like my "noob offer." Guess I'll never be pro without this Enka D:

This seriously made my stomach turn. If you're going to farm the materials for an expensive 5-slotted weapon you plan to mod for fire, please make it a Phantom Star. Seeing this kind of mod would make any Class 10 Destruction Mage lose sleep at night.

Aeria Fails Yet Again~

So up until recently, things had been rolling fairly smoothly with Aeria; content was getting updated more frequently, the tiered spending promos were actually decent equipment for the price-brackets (i.e. LNC sets, Nightmare, Sentinel, SMT: If... sets, etc.), and there'd been an odd air of happiness(?) floating around. Things seemed to be looking up (or at least as good as they were going to get, we'd reached a happy-medium it seemed).

Then 2010 started.

Our current Fortune Cards are literally 2 years old, dating back to January 17th, 2008 and February 7th, 2008. We never recieved either of these FCs up until this point, where none of these gears hold any relevance to today's damage-standards (minus Conviction, which essentially every melee who wants one has one at this point, and I suppose the outfits could be argued they could be Regenerated... but that's beside the point really). What does Aeria do when the FC fails? Promos~

Let's chronicle everything that's happened in the past week:

They clearly already knew the upcoming FC was going to fail, by the release of not only one, but two instances of the Abyss Cloak being putting in their infamous Floating Mystery Box on the web mall. They released the box 2 days back-to-back, with a price increase on the second day.

There was the Re: Chaos Set/Flamehorn raffle, the Demonic Ward/Cups & Melons Mystery Box Promo, the Seeker/Sentinel tiered promo, and now we've had the release of Cross Regenerator Mystery boxes and (again) not only one, but two corresponding raffles to add more insult to injury. Today drops the Warlords tiered promo, which makes no sense... how is a set like Nightmare that adds a general damage boost $50 and a near-statless and completely useless set like General's worth $70? Makes zero sense.

For those unaware, Cross Regenerators were released in this FC on the J-Server. Looks alot better than Mystery Boxes, right? Why was this not released as this week's FC? Instead we get ridiculously outdated crap that no one needs. The Cross Regens were also released on the J-Server's web mall the same day the Fortune Card was released for ¥4980 each.

I find it ironic that the Cross Regen thread was locked promptly after I called Aeria on their bullshit, and expressed they're truly showing no care for their customers at this point. Locking the thread with literally zero response to what I said merely proves my point even further.

It's shocking that Aeria has an A- Rating on the BBB, but then again when you buy your votes from your players anything is possible. Contrary to Azuno's post, I've been working on updating the blog in my spare time at work for like a week now... and I'm too lazy to work on posts at home >.<

It's really hard to believe it's been one year. I find myself slowly drifting into the more casual-player category; but I'm okay with that. I've worked hard for everything I've done, and it was always at my own pace. There's no point in being hardcore about anything when my main doesn't gain XP anymore and we're still waiting on content updates. I spend most of my days hunting the field bosses in Shinjuku Docks, soloing 4 Kings for a challenge, making new demons, testing new ideas and theories out, and of course the occasional PvP match here and there. Last night I decided to start up a swordsmith for fun (I have an old level 57 synther on another account with a macca-hourglass still on it, might as well use it), so we'll see how that goes. Anyway, this entry isn't about anything that's happening now; I wanted to share some memories and pay tribute to some long lost friends as we wrap up our 1st year of Megaten.

Note: I have pictures to add, but I need to upload them when I get home.

When Imagine was announced that it was being brought to the US, I knew absolutely nothing about MMORPGs. I'd never played one in my life, nor did I have any intentions of playing one. However I never pass up a Shin Megami Tensei game, so I felt obligated to at the very least try it. I only logged in a few times during closed beta, knowing that my character would be wiped I just tested the game out to see if it was even enjoyable. My laptop at the time caused the game to lag a lot (go go Vista), and dungeons were virtually unplayable for me. However I found myself enjoying the game nonetheless. I realized with my current computer there was no way I was getting far, so I wrote it off as something to play if I got a new computer. In the meantime I tried WoW, only to quit after merely 3 days into my 10 day trial (that game is awful), and saw that every preconcieved thought I had about the game was 100% true.

In Februrary I managed to finally get myself a killer desktop for a new DAW (digital audio workstation), and shortly after installing all my recording software I remembered SMT, so I figured I'd give it another run. I forgot my password for my original username, so I started up a new account, made a character, and dove face first into the world of Imagine.

I don't know how many of you know, but Royce is not my original character; originally I was known as Iwata, and actually played a male character *gasp*

I wanted to keep to myself and had no real interest in joining a clan, but I got a random clan invite in the middle of killing Cait Siths for Act III. I can't really say much about them, I was in the clan for like an hour? No one talked the entire time I was there, so I left figuring I'd be better off alone.

I didn't talk to a soul until I ran Act IV, where a Dutch girl named Syardis who was looking for a group of people to run Act IV's Grey plate as well. I offered to come since I needed to do it to, and ended up making my first friend in Megaten. We ended up talking for a long time, running a couple Sugi Bronzes and just overall had fun. Later on that evening I recieved another random clan invitation, this time to Clan Cruxifer, which ended up being my home for the next several months. 15 year-old Ceruben was the leader, who gave me a submaster position based on the fact I was the 2nd highest level in the clan because I "obviously knew what I was doing," which was a total lie... I had every expertise turned on! 18,000 points? No way I'm ever maxing all that out! I had stats in strength, magic and speed because I wanted to be a "jack-of-all-trades"...

Cruxifer ran like pretty much every other clan back in early February; you see a random clanless noob, invite first and ask questions later. Ironically this method wasn't that bad back then, as we got several people that didn't have their head up their ass completely, like Lorant, Ayaki, Senlan, Xerdrick, Nakea, Miyazuki, Kagusashi, Churumelos, Kisarabi and Andraen. We actually had a decent team of people for just a bunch of random invites. We actually started to get a little serious about the game. Around this time is when I retired Iwata at level 34, and decided to try a new class. I had made Royce as my mule (that's right, Royce was initially a storage mule), so I decided to give mage a try. I had a gut feeling that females would get better gear than males, since this is a Japanese MMO after all, and boy was I right. I ended up being a hybrid of mage and melee in the beginning, due to the fact we had no tanks in the clan, plus we had no idea what builds worked and what didn't back in these times. Syardis actually joined the clan around this time on her new character RazorRamon (this time male, playing my opposite again)... 5 bonus points to anyone who gets that reference. EdwinRhys also joined our ranks, who was possibly the best random noob invite ever. Lorant, Edwin and myself were like the Rat Pack of Cruxifer; we did everything together. I still miss those days :/

As the clan grew more serious about actually working together, expanding our clanbase and overall being good at the game, several clan members felt that Ceruben wasn't really fit to be clan master anymore; all he did was ask for people's Jack Frost cards and steal all the loot in dungeons by turning FFA on. I got picked by all the submasters to be the new clanmaster, but asking Cerbuen to step down wasn't something I wanted to do. We didn't want to make it seem like some coup d`etat, but Senlan ended up stonewalling him and Ceruben sort of freaked out, passed master, left the clan, and his 3 irl-friends followed. Cerbuben ended up quitting the game because of this, which was never anyone's intentions. I think we just learned a very valueable lesson that day-- you can't maturely reason with a 15 year old boy.

Outside of Cruxifer, I'll never forget the other fellow channel 5 people; Clan Arcana people like the perverted Jherek (who was convinced I was a girl irl, even though countless times I said I was a man...), AIice and of course Sekushi. There was also the Clan Aria crew-- Gainshard, Sekh, Eone and shoon (who all ended up helping create Destiny), the Clan Touhou crew-- Looms and Zlito, and the Clan DaraTen crew-- Yreal, Seppoku, and Mewie. Then there's the clanless people where you wonder where they mysteriously vanished, like Verdeman, who seemed to be the only swordsmith for the longest time, then was gone for good in the blink of an eye. There was also Alesa, the clanless enhancer who used to bother Jherek with me. She vanished completely after she unlocked class 5 enhancement, which was all she did at the fountain for weeks; grind expertise and chat.

I was always trying to push the envelope as far as what mages were capable of doing. At the end of April I was the second person (that I know of, at least) to have soloed Tokisada and farmed my own cards for B108 Ichi Gold, the first being Pearz.

I ended up leading Cruxifer from March until the beginning of June, when every just stopped getting along and started being too dramatic and overbearing. SuperBuu3 systematically tried to destroy the clan from the inside by spreading lies about everyone and planting seeds of doubt in everyone's heads... much like he'd done in Clan Trinity and Clan Aria beforehand (this was not some new trend). I couldn't paty with anyone non-clan without being guilt-tripped by the submasters for at least 45 minutes. The fact I was outleveling everyone in the guild by over 10 levels meant that I was "unfaithful to the clan" and "should be helping with newbies on acts" and "powerleveling the clan." I ended up just straight up leaving the clan, as everything I'd worked hard for months to achieve blew up in my face due to other people's jealousy. I'd already felt Lorant and a few others giving me the cold shoulder for like a month, and they moved on to help with SuperBuu3's newly-founded Clan Raziel, and I ended up joining Desire upon the invite from my friends Raid0uKuzunoha and ShinHitoshura.

The Desire-era was short for me (only 2 months), but a strange and interesting one; the clan was almost always dead silent. From what I hear the clan was pretty much already dead when I joined; all the old players had already quit the game. It almost seemed as though no one really liked each other, which was weird coming from Cruxifer where everyone had bonded so well. There were some good times in Desire, like running Ichis with Petrovich and Takemoro, running around Babel acting silly with Sachira, and the crazy 8-10 hour grind sessions I had with Xay. Eventually the clan split into 3 entirely new clans, which brings us to now. Destiny is starting it's 6th month of existence and as strong as ever.

So will it be time for me to hang up my gears and join the ranks of the other retired veterans? Or will I stick it out another year? I can't really say for sure, but I have a feeling I'll be here for awhile still. Perhaps Celu Gold will bring some new life into the game for me. I'm still anxiously awaiting Ueno Snake Cave too. Who knows, maybe the level cap will get raised soon. The past year has been a blast, and it's been really great to meet the friends I have today. It's sad to look at my friends list and see all the old friends I've had who have moved on; it's more like an obituary than a list of active players... and I refuse to delete a single one of them in hopes of them coming back someday.

Even though leveling is a total joke now, it's good to be an older veteran; I actually got to experience the game without hearing words like "sponsor" or "powerleveling" until I was 80+. You really miss out on a lot when you confine yourself to only running Ichi Golds. I wouldn't trade off any these memories for all the 10x in the world.

In other news I've been doing Valhalla a lot lately, I've actually gotten up to Valgrind, which honestly isn't very hard it's just long and just takes "massive amounts of noob killing". Hitting Valgrind allows me to go and look at this nice piece of armor:

The thing is godly, but completely unattainable for a longggggg time. 1.2million BP? No thanks.

Now for those getting mad at me for leaving Valhalla when I see a match is stacked, I just have this to say, I don't really care what you think. I'm getting rank for a random reason, once I hit it I'll do all the stacked, unfair, hard to win matches you want. But considering if I lose a match, it takes me 2 to make up for it, I'd rather avoid the hassle. But by all means, if you wish to make Team Valhalla fights PM me I'll arrange for it to happen, I'd love to have a fair match of level 80+

In other new, I've hopped the bandwagon and went neutral. I must say, the damage with good gear is pretty ridiculous though I miss my cast-time, so I'm debating going skadi over nyar atleast for the time being :s

I'm also on the road to 90, hit 89 last night and 88 the night before so hoping this weekend is my big day. Not like it's some extraordinary accomplishment anymore but it's a personal feat I never thought I'd bother with. Wonder how this'll go.

Persona Rant

So I drafted a very long-winded post on Friday about all the backseat moderators on the Aeria forums and how much I dislike them; then I realized I could sum it up with just that-- I hate backseat moderators.

For those who are unaware, I went Neutral. People seem to obsess over the Law/Chaos doramaz still, so between wanting to not be a part of that anymore, and wanting to abuse a new crystal setup, going Neutral was the best option for me.

In unrelated-to-Imagine-news, I got a PSP for myself as well. So far I've picked up Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles, Patapon, and Persona. I have to say, I'm overall pleased with Persona; I don't see the point in complaining about the music, considering up until this updated remake came out all we had was Persona: Black Mark Edition for the PSX... Anything is better than that.

I still think the battle system should have been remade, but maybe some people enjoy feeling like they're really living in 1996 again. I've never had particularly fond feelings for the first Persona title; though I'm rather indifferent towards the Persona series as a whole. In the wide spectrum of RPGs available on the market, I will play any Shin Megami Tensei-spinoff game before I'll pick up any other series (save for another Mother/Earthbound game or Phantasy Star 5 if it ever gets made). Anything made by Square-Enix (save for a few games, like Final Fantasy Tactics, Star Ocean or Valkyrie Profile) is just going to be another cliche' game, and once you've played one N.I.S. tactical RPG you've played the other 5000 they've made. However, I have a love-hate relationship with Persona. It teeters on that fine-line of being a SMT game and not being a SMT game. It has the same demons, same sort of battle system nowadays, and same sort of questionable imagery/subject matter... but it just doesn't feel SMT enough for me. Lately I feel like it's just Teenage Angst: The Video Game. Bring back the SMT games of dystopian, post-apocalyptic worlds with man vs. God conflicts, and a little less of the high school setting of Persona. They're still good games; I'd just rather see the original series pick back up. SMT4 needs to happen; I'm hoping Strange Journey is a step in the right direction.

Oh, sweet december, almost Christmas already. I'm officially playing Megaten for 1 year, and now looking back at everything, it's just...wow. No, really. God, I've felt really pro using Cu Chulainn, grinded for hours at Zhens on Shinagawa (and got a few surprise rapes on new moon <_<), wasted weekends on noob Sugi Golds... Yeah, that's really weird today with all that sponsor thing, countless exp incenses and such, but it was really fun. Exploring, trying new stuff... I loved that, and I could feel that again 2 days ago with the Lord of the Flies patch. Ok, it wasn't hard, but c'mon, we're level 90+ with complete builds and gameplay experience, it's not meant to be hard.

But anyway, I just wanna thank you all who played Megaten with me this year, I had a really good time, and some LOLmoments that I'll NEVER forget, because if we don't laugh on our 10+ hours Ichi marathons we'll just go insane, right?
And if you didn't saw me these days it's because (not that you should care :x):

1) Fail internet connection is fail. I've DC'd so much that I didn't even bothered to turn on my comp some days.

2) IRL stuff. Relationship + friends + work = loss of weight, so everyone should do that. D:<

3) Grand Fantasia. Yeah, I've been playing it and it's not perfect, but it's what I need. I can play different stuff without making new friends since I'm happy with the ones that I have on Megaten/Aeria. And even failing on any kind of PvP (3k hp don't help, working on semi-vit build <_<), at least I'm cute ._.

4) PSP. Finally got mine, and so much stuff that I wanna play lol. Just finished Persona, and I have to say, Atlus did a damn great job. Perfect remake, decent translation, complex Persona creation system, new cutscenes, awesome new soundtrack, AND after all still feels like the old game.

Anyway, hard work seems to be paying off. Just need to hit 90 (level 88 atm) and I can switch over to my PvP build. I'm already toying around with ideas for my next character.

As a side note, Vista finally failed me last night. System Shock 2 seems to dislike Windows Vista... and for some reason having a multi-core processor is the game's kryptonite. Fortunately I found a patch that fixed the compatability issue. There's a strange fix for the multi-core problem where you have to direct all the game's resources to one specific core in your processor. So the teaser/countdown site for Second Wave is up, with "Chain of Curse" being the subtitle.
Now, while I'm extremely excited to actually see new content getting churned out, I can't help but think one thing upon looking at everything so far; it looks like a freaking Castlevania game.

Anyway, I'm not really complaining; it's nice to see that they're still making new content for this game. I find it ironic it all seems a little bit cliche`, but that's forgivable. I think what I miss most about SMT games were the mild cyberpunk-esque undertones of the first two Shin Megami Tensei titles... we seem to be deviating from that more and more as time progresses. I think that's what was a major letdown for me with Nocturne, which ended up being a good game in it's own right... it just lacked the grittiness of the original games.

Long story short, if you end up becoming cursed, and having to collect, oh I don't know... General Gotoh's body parts that have been scattered all over Tokyo, and the only way to remove the curse is to collect all his body parts, summon him from the dead and kill him again... Konami is getting a phonecall.

DE -> US Merger?

Well, welcome to the beginning of the end for the US server.

Today Aeria announced the closure of the German server of Imagine (final date of service 12/21). All players are given the option for up to 3 of their characters (above level 15) to be transferred to the US server of "Megatem." As far as their equipment goes, I'm unsure... but I'm assuming they get the whole nine yards in transferring.

That being said, upon visiting the DE forums... pretty much no one knows what they're talking about. Clown Mace is apparently the end-game weapon for mages, even though I've seen DE server videos with bare-minimum a Spear of Dutchaf... but who uses fire in Ichi Gold anyway? They recommend learning Medical Sciences. People also seem to be okay with the sales of in-game items in the item mall. Sadly, that means Cursebringers, Deathbringers, and Vision Dream of Darkness (the in-game extra Tokisada drops that no US player has obtained) will all become (even more) vanity than they were before. All said items were available via the DE item mall or tiered spending promos (hell they even made a promo where tiers included Dromi and Gleipnir...).

I'm not sure what version of the game they're running at the moment (as it seems they're not on the same patch as us; no mention of Regal Presence on the forums, and everyone seems to think Magic Control is useless), so I can't really fairly judge their characters against ours. However, they do have not only one, but two servers to observe and learn from. Considering one of those servers' forums are merely a few clicks from their own, it's hard to come up with enough excuses for being uneducated.

So be prepared for slightly more retardation in the near future. I know there's a group of elitists over there that are surely going to transfer, so let's have some lulz with them (^-^

So I rage quit Grand Fantasia. The game is a lot of fun, but when you're stuck being alone as a squishy mage playing pretty much the only class that can't solo efficiently, you tend to fall behind everyone really fast. Either that or I'm the only person who's slept in the past 3 days... like, level 30+ already, are you serious? Sorry, I don't find collecting batshit (literally)/deer skins/whatever for hours on end by myself to be fun in the least. The one time we actually DID do a dungeon we didn't even finish it. If people are actually willing to work together in Open Beta, I'll go back... if it's just gonna be the same shit that's happened over the last three days then no thanks.

I've also decided to take a hiatus from Megaten. I'm just overall fed up with the drama and everyone asking for Mudoon/Beiji-Weng/whatever. I recognize I put up a trade thread for them, but I just really have no motivation whatsoever to do trifusions. I can't work on my alt in peace, so there's no point in even logging in. Maybe once Celu Gold/Subway/Ueno Snake are implemented I'll go back. And who knows, I might take a break for a few days, it might be a few weeks. I'll see how I feel in the near future. If it goes into long-term I'll pass off clanmaster to someone who I feel is fit for the role. Don't waste your time asking for any of my stuff either... if I die then it all goes with me :P

In the meantime I'll start writing/recording some new songs (I just got LSDJ! Go go chiptunes!) and play Ghostbusters for PC.

So for all intents and purposes... Royce is now my semi-retired main. I still plan to PvP with her regularly, but as opposed to sitting around in Babel complaining how there's nothing to do in Megaten (and rather than doing the sane thing and play some other game that gets updated more often/isn't a money pit), I decided to pick up one of my alts. For those who remember Rhuki from a previous post, she was a hybrid melee/enhancer.

...everyone in this damn game wants to be a melee/enhancer. So after debating for some time on what direction to head in, and with the arrival of the new imbalanced crystals, I've decided to make Rhuki into a Regal DD. Melee is overall just a boring class to me, and the build I'm doing now is the original build I'd planned for Royce with a couple modifications. I had Class 3 Regal on Royce the day the PvP patch hit back in June (as I'd even pre-statted the character just for this), but it required me to lethe Enhancement. However I found out quickly that I lost my solo-ability in this form, which was my main goal from the beginning. After having a moral dilemna of either starting all over again or lething Regal and going back to my old build, 2 hours later that day I had Enhancement again... and even then I didn't have the necessary amount of Int to solo anymore. Eventually I hourglassed (again) and found my sweet spot again. Overall I don't regret any of the events that took place, as this all paved the way for my final build that got me all the way to 93.

Anyway, I just finished up all my expertise for this build today. I hope to be near-fully soul-stoned and taroted by Friday, and somewhere around level 80ish (I'm level 74 already, so that's no huge task). I'll have to adjust to being reliant on an Enhancer, but I have a feeling this build will be a lot of fun. Wish me luck!

Also, Grand Fantasia Closed Beta starts this evening. A handful of us from Destiny will be giving this game a test run. If it proves to be enjoyable then we'll expand Destiny's horizons into this game as well. I'm somewhat torn between what class I'd like to play at the moment; either Paladin, Necromancer or Wizard. I'm 90% sure I'll end up being a Wizard or Necromancer (because let's face it, being a mage is fun D:), but I wanna try out all the classes I'm interested in before the Open Beta begins. Hope to see some of you all in the world of Saphael!

Don't assume that ZOMGZ EVERYONE IS ON INCENSE!!!11!!one11!eleventy!1 The only reason I keep incense in my inventory at this point is for ridiculous matches like the ones held tonight; and to be completely honest none of you are even worth wasting it on. You're not only making yourself look like an incredible douche-turd when you incense, but you're ruining the game for those of us who have a little something called pride.

So I started PvPing this week, and today I decided it'd be fun to whore PvP up a tad.
It seems I've already carved a name for myself with some people. As seen below.

Now, I'm sure as all of you know, DG666 is level 93, can self pulse probably better than me, and in some cases incenses. In my case, I'm level 73, with pretty good gears but a low self-pulse and I only have 7.3 DM. Now, this guy says, my Hex+(Ardal) pulsed Megidos do more than hers?
Wow really, that's just a huge ego-boost for me.

After awhile my Megidos sporadically decreased in damage, due to me running around solo with my 50% pulses lulz. As seen below that was a godsend to some.

All in all, I'm having fun and being called out for incense gives me a hard on. Please keep saying it <3

So, not much amazingly new in the world of Megaten this week. I've been making the level 93 demons at the moment; Wu Kong is broken as all hell and I want like 9000 of them, Beiji-Weng is oogly and underwhelming... but Mudoon is pretty cool (and his SS will be too!). Gonna make Phantom tonight, I'm sure he'll be nothing to write about, but I want him regardless.

Fail FCs are fail this week; more Anti-Demon sets (what is this, the third reissue? fourth?) and some guns that no one needs. My money is on Abyss Mystery Box this week in Item Mall, or something else will get thrown in there to make up for sales. GM Xandamere is once again on the Megaten team (what a relief, we have a voice of reason again), so be sure to welcome him back here. For those who care about fashion, Theena and iBleach started the Mega FC Blog, which covers all of the in-game apparal. LoveGuardian has started a blog as well. As most can recall, I was a little hard on him in a recent post. It seems as though he's seen the error in his recent behavior and is trying to overcome his newfound reputation. I know how hard it is overcoming an ego problem, much less admitting to being somewhat of an arrogant ass, so LG if you read this-- you have a clean slate with me.

New GS applications are up, as is the feedback thread (which as always starts out as brown-nosing... and quickly turns to defecating on one another). I really truly don't care who gets it... as long as they're helpful with the newer players in Home III and spend less time in Babel. I've been asked numerous times if I plan to run for GS; the answer is still no. Yes, I have considered it, but truth of the matter is I'm just not cut out to deal with medial tasks like filing behavior reports. If I only had to do dungeon runs, help plan events and occasionally help with player's problems I'd be fine. I love helping people out when they're willing to actually listen and absorb what's to be learned, but the people on our server are somewhat... irritating?
tl;dr-- I could be a good GS if I wanted to, I just would rather do something else with my time.

I'm starting back to the PvP grind tonight (Go Chaos!), so hope to see some of you all in there ;o

How many people can say they hit the level cap in Babel?

After a long, stressful and monotonous weekend, I have finally achieved another one of my goals: Hitting the level cap. I wanted to make it special, so I got to 99.99% running Ichi Golds (had to skip a few Jikos <_<), and finished off my final 00.01% by doing my daily Plasma Farming quest that Nyarlothotep gives me. Finally finished everything off at 2am (some even stayed up until 5am for the celebration), and got a good night's rest. I'd like to thank my wonderful clan members and all my friends for their support over the past 3 days, and for the awesome celebration you planned; collecting all those fireworks isn't easy!
(Edit: btw, I started out Friday at only 40.35% LOOOOL)

I'd also like to pay tribute to two people who I will never be able to thank enough, Finella and Xay. Without Finella's plethora of knowledge and pursuit of demystifying IMAGINE, and Xay's mentor-like encouragement and inspiration, I would never have made it this far. Thank you both for everything. I'm sure you're both out there inspiring others and kicking ass in other MMOs.

So we're back to the mud-slinging pvp sessions where incense accusations are abound and egos are flaring up. Dirty rumors are spreading and they tend to get around fast. Apparently people seem to think I'm trying to start up some new Chaos-movement in order to blow Law out of the water... also see: The Third Reich of Megaten.

It must not become a servant of the masses, but their master! Chaos will either be a world power or will not be at all.

Ok, in all seriousness I can't keep that up. People, Megaten is just a game. I'm not deliberately trying to beef up Chaos to have some "unholy reign" over Law. I think some are taking this whole alignment crap too seriously. Not once have we claimed Destiny to be the "best clan in pvp" (aka 'pulling a Lucis'), nor will we ever. Both alignments are filled with good players. To say that Destiny is holding Chaos' hand is the most absurd thing I've ever heard in my life... because the people who are saying such nonsense are the ones who jumped on the Law bandwagon to begin with.

And on the incense topic: if you ever feel like anyone from Destiny or myself are on any form of incense (protection, magic, speed, whatever), please let us know so we can stay after the match. I (and I'm sure the other members of the clan) will happily show you my damage output as well as my damage taken on both forms of incense upon your request. The only time in recent history I have incensed was 3 nights ago when a certain Regal Enhancer was taking a constant succession of 1 damage from every form of attack; melee, long-range and magic. I fail to see how "it's ok for a Regal Enhancer to incense but Destiny are cheaters when they incense back." It's sad that we're forced to live in a cash shop environment where no one trusts anyone because it exists.

Oh, and to the failed level 76 Melee (you who know you are) who swears "Royce is nothing without his pulses and his anti-demon," I'm sorry that I've worked hard on my character. Perhaps instead of QQing about it and hoping that other people win the game for you, maybe you should go finish your character? No player is invincible, and I've never said that I am myself, but you make some pretty ballsy claims for someone who doesn't even have a full set of soul stones and tarots.

tl;dr-- PvP is srs biznez, but some are taking this waaaay too seriously.

Now as you all know, without Finella's dedication to sharing a plethora of information from the client files and her pro fan-translating, there's several of us who wouldn't be where we are today.

Look at his clan thread for starters. As I've stated before, it looks more like a 14-year old's MySpace page rather than a clan thread with all the Persona/SMT pictures he's posted that have literally zero relevance to IMAGINE. However this makes the clan uber win because anime and Persona r0x0rz.

Sheeps For The Slaughter

The clan has a High Intake/Hight Kickout policy... which creates numerous posts in the clan thread of people wondering why they've been excommunicated after having been offline for only a few days. Meanwhile, you have others living in fear and pleading to be spared from the ban-hammer. Also, under the requirements to be a Submaster:

"-Quota: You are responsible for recruiting at least one member a day to the clan. And that's not really a hard thing to do. Just be sure to invite only active and social members. Level is unimportant. Why? Because only the strong will survive in Yosuga. They'll level up eventually and we'll make sure they can survive in such a world. "

Is this why your clan has been around since April and just hit level 8 this month? Only the strong survive! Recruit a noob a day and then kick them the second they haven't been online in a week. Real Life is clearly less important than Yosuga.

...because having this ~~failure~~ magnificient genius run around in a Frost Suit is going to make the clan instantly awesome! Now, you might be wondering "What the hell is a YP?" Well, YP stands for "Yosuga Points," which are his very own clan-based currency. You'll absolutely luuurve what you can purchase with these points. Please take note of the durability. ~~Notice how most items are derp-gears that he's clearly used and can't sell?~~ You should be thankful to even be allowed to touch gears owned by the great diablopanqueque! Sure, it'd be much easier to purchase these things from other players in-game. But wouldn't you rather donate money to your ~~cheapskate~~ glorious leader for his PYCL Event to get your shitty YP to purchase gears he doesn't use anymore? The best items are the Phlegethon and Poseidon's Spear, but both are 81+ requirements... the only two people in the entire clan who are even past 80 are diablo himself and RhemIruka (who's failed at ragequitting 2 times already). Rest assured, you won't level up in Yosuga, so find your own parties to do your acts and level up! This method of hands-off training and clan growth is pivotal to the success of Yosuga.

Wealth of Knowledge

The diablopanqueque you see on the forums daily is ~~a cheap bastard who tries to swindle deals~~ an entrepreneur based on his own view of how economics work. He states that Heavenly Snow is not in demand, yet he's clearly trying to purchase one... which instantly bumps said item into an in-demand status. By this logic I should just wait for a day where there's an Abyss Cloak up for sale and no one is listed as currently trying to purchase one... then offer 750k because clearly no one wants it... hell I'd be doing them a favor, right?

He's also ~~a smug know-it-all asshole~~ an Ichi Gold professional. Apparently soloing as a gunner isn't an accomplishment in his eyes, so don't even think about trying it. I mean, anyone with half a brain knows that Holy Charm is fail, and you need a Yatagarasu Crystal to even consider fighting all the Cu Chulainns and Hayagrivas that Jiko spawns with him... Gyuki just won't cut it! Perhaps in order to appease this god amongst us mere mortals, you'd be better off wasting your time farming to donate to his kawaii Frostie outfit \(^-^

So after a break from the game, I'm finally back. For some reason I can't leave Megaten forever, so when I'm bored I change something. After a little more than one week of fun donations, I'm finally chaos again, and with that comes new outfit, new crystals, new demons and new PvP partners. And wasn't too hard to make that decision since the Law side of PvP is now mainly based on a bunch of ass-lickers sponsors4life (i.e. Law side losing, QQ, goes to Rain SB for more QQ, and pray to see Pearz and friends on next match). Of course, not everyone in Law side is like that. The only thing I can say is: Get your own strenght, work for your stuff and feel the true accomplishment feeling.

Talking about accomplishment, I finally got a new useful and gorgeous outfit, so bye-bye Red Riders(lolfinally). Also, since I can't use Scathach anymore, I made a new Skadi with mainly Ice skills, because she is the winter goddess on norse mythology, and she have Force boost on our game, but can't learn Sonic Boom. Thanks again Cave for your amazing work. Oh, and when I was with Ardal teaching Megidolaon to one of her fusions using the giant Tarrasque on docks(who the fack teach almighty with Tarrasque?lolz), the moron dropped the Twins SS(like Ardal said already on a post, but I don't care <3).

And since some people keep asking me how much fun is lvl90, that is my opinion:

Solo Enhancers: The Helen Keller Story

Lately there's been a trend going around the server that I don't quite understand... the fascination with solo enhancers and how they're supposed to be inspirational. Now, let me say this isn't some great accomplishment... soloing with a demon is VERY easy. A couple months back I did an Ichi Gold run for pure lulz that consisted of me only enhancing my Loki, just because I said he was beefed up enough to take on the dungeon alone with myself enhancing him. We got some laughs out of it, called it a day. By no means am I claiming to have started the idea of soloing with a demon (I'm well aware I'm not the first to have done it), I'm merely stating it's more than feasible.

Anyway, it all started at the end of August, when Sharte posted this thread about her experience soloing Ichi Gold as an enhancer... and I'm sure some of you out there just subconsciously went "Awwww" in your mind, but allow me to give a running commentary of the run:

Demons used:

Cerberus
- Level 4x Beast, focusing on physical attack and spins (mainly fire spin). Has Tiwas of Assiah growth.
Accomplished Unicorn
- Level 4x Holy Beast, focusing on support and prolonged battle. Has Ansuz of Assiah growth.

Ok, right off the bat there's something wrong here... if your demon is your main source of damage output, you should be using a demon with Torrent of Magic and at the very least Vamp Cyclone, Fog Breath, Poison Gas Breath, or hell... Magic Shot.
Also, I'm not sure who started this movement where Accomplished Unicorn is some amazing demon you can use from the time you're level 21 until end-game, but it's extremely common here on the Aeria server. I guess it's the same reason you see people using level 60+ Blizzard Jacks and Inferno Pyros... people don't understand how demon fusion works.

Now, this is the part that slays me the most:

Elevator Hallway

I mount on this hall for safety. I have no theory I can try to beat Nightmare Specters if they pop out X_X

I suppose this is another difference between the JP server and the US server. Enhancers are weak to Erosion Hex and can be instantly killed Σ(ﾟДﾟ ). Use a mount to avoid this grave danger (^-^

No theory? None at all? By all means, please go here and find out... or hell, let me do the work for you. Your initial skill bar and Cerberus were more than enough to deal with the "impending threat" that was ahead of you.

Nightmare Specters are easily killed by your Cerberus' elemental spins, while the Nightmare Chatterskulls are easily stopped by Estoma (FYI- the Specters are too) and weak to magic-element, making Erosion Hex another viable solution. How you're level 72 with no Thoth, Lilim or Gorgon is completely beyond my understanding.

Not much else to comment on here really. It's hard to call any form of solo run "successful" if you end up dying though. The thread ended up being needlessly bumped every day full of praise on congrats, and still continues to be necro'd by other enhancers "inspired" by her story, that really is made out to look more like an all day affair.

Shortly after this, Zaphiel posted this thread about a level 25 soloing Ichi Gold. I'm not sure what he was trying to prove here. Based on the videos he posted (part one and part two), all I see proven is that a level 25 can solo Ichi Gold... if their main character is level 80+ with a demon they've rebirthed multiple times, a demon depository, Regal class 4 and access to roughly $10 of AP heals they can spam repeatedly. And no, I'm not saying incense is ZOMGZ CHEATERRR, because yes, most high levels (including myself) DO use incense when speedrunning Ichi Gold. Also want to point out that no level 25 would have an Aegis at their disposal. Show me one level 25 on the server that actually knows what they're doing and don't have Medical Sciences/Summon/Taunt turned on. I will give Zaphiel credit though, this was a fairly creative idea.

Finally, there's LoveGuardian... I was around level 80 when I met this guy... he was level 42 and QQing how his Eligor couldn't learn Sonic Boom. Powerleveled his way to the top via sponsoring, ended up copying the Regal Enhancer build that Citrine/lnstinct/Indicative/cody` all used (because he's so original)... and makes it a point to let everyone know in every post he makes on the forums how high his heals are, how he has Regal 4, or how he solos 4 kings regularly. Just yesterday I managed to screen this on the forums (and the main reason I made this post):

ANYWAY, now that his ego has been established (lol enhancer ego), he posted this thread with links to his solo videos for normal Ichi Gold and a 4 Kings Solo (part one and part two). Now, you'll notice from the first 5 seconds of the videos there's something utterly wrong about them even being claimed as solo runs... vel0s is playing "camera man" because LG's computer apparently sucks too hard. vel0s is more than likely feeding LG's stats via party bonuses. This way you're also unable to see if the Ose is on any kind of fragrances. vel0s also uses his Hresvelgr to fend off some Gakis...

Also, for someone who supposedly solos 4 Kings regularly, what's wrong with this picture?

If you claim to solo something on a regular basis you tend to know the demon's weaknesses.

I guess the whole purpose of this post is that Enhancers with ego are hilarious. It's the only class where you can fail miserably and still be praised for your "achievements," kinda like winning the Special Olympics. If any other class posted a video where they died they'd be laughed at and ostracized. It's hard to listen to someone brag on about how they don't die when they clearly do... even with their o-so-seekrit Regal builds. You don't need Regal to be a good PvP Enhancer either... allow me to point to Ardal. Clicking a toggle to reduce your damage taken as an Enhancer is like wearing adult diapers because you're too lazy to shit in the toilet.

I rest my case.

It's been awhile since any of us updated, so guess it's time one of us finally did it. I'd been editing the same entry over and over for 3 weeks, so I finally just deleted the whole thing and started fresh... so there's no "Top 10 Things I Hate About Our Server", nor "Why FOXHOUND Fails" (though I still want to share this gem of a screenshot), just a general overall update.

FINALLY hit level 92 last night. I ended up gaining 19% in one night, which in itself makes me feel like I was just really lazy for the first 81% that took almost 2 months to gain. 93 is going to be my Everest for sure; from what I hear it's around 100+ hours of grinding... but we'll see about that. On the flip-side of things, it's really sad hitting level 92 before the Lilith plugin is released. That was my main drive for hitting 92 in the first place... oh well. Guess it's time to make a Vetala with all the skills I want and let it rot in my depository for 6 months.

PvP has been rather annoying as of late. Chaos has lost essentially 90% of it's decent players because everyone likes to jump on the bandwagon, or they've all quit and gone on to other games. The most annoying part is beyond Pearz (who has semi-retired) there isn't a single player who knows how to fight one on one; Law consists of tons of wolfpack groups who consider 2+ on 1 to be "fair odds." I still think the regal enhancer build is one of the more annoying builds in PvP, because about 2/3rds of the time a 2 on 1 with a regal enhancer is just bad. I've been trying to breed more decent chaos players, but that's not something that just happens overnight. Another extremely annoying thing that's been going on lately are the incense accusations on me from other players. Now, I won't bore you to tears with mathematics, but Tanarin posted a damage calculation using my stats, and I'll reference that for proof that I don't use magic incense. FYI- I do around 1.2k with Bufudyne/Mabufudyne with a virtue/angel setup + spell hex. Also, here is my PvP Loki:

I have every conceivable Anti-Skill on the server with the excepetion of Anti-Death (and there's no way I'm leveling a Thoth to 92...). Factor in things like my Pulse of the Armored, Quetzalcoatl Soul Stone, the elemental extras, and Water Bearer, and you'll understand why I have such high resistances. tl;dr- I didn't put this much effort into boosting my offense/defense just to have idiot noobs raging I'm on steroids. I'm sorry you don't understand how Spell Hex and Anti-Skills work. You can always go play Maple Story.

Also, I'd like to point out something that really annoys me: lazy high level players. Looking through the Bazaar Forums I came across the following posts by Force and Baiace. Now mind you, both of these players are more than capable of leveling the demons for this, much less hitting 90 DCMs is not that hard. I did it myself in 2 days. Pallas Athena took 4 days to level with casual grinding. Apparently sitting in Babel at the fountain is the main reason to play this game for some people.

Only things I really want at this point are Chiaki and Phlogiston. Phlog should come out this month for sure (if it's a promo I'll ragequit), and Chiaki will probably be a ridiculous top-spender item. We'll see how things pan out.

/Ignore yakka. And changing subject......the other day demon quest were finally implemented. A new source of trauma when your demon asks you to learn the synthesis expertise or raise your talk a few classes. Also back from my break......also not new anymore. Apache chief INYUK CHUK, i get this impression when looking at take-mikazuchi for some reason. I'm just that* original.

So for anyone who bothers to browse the Trade List in game once and a while may fall upon a person named Kendra. Now it seems of late Kendra has been throwing up Selling Posts that are well, utterly ridiculous. Whether it be in the forums or in game the prices the person usually makes are horrendous to say the least.

Now in the link above is Kendra's Trade List. If you quickly skim you'll notice right away the majority of what the person wants is actually not released yet. Now what makes me die reading that post is the first item up for sale. A fairly common dagger, Ichijosei. Kendra seems to think 2 of them are worth a Cursebringer.Should I even say anything apart from this: Har har har.

Now, the funniest thing happened today. Kendra seemingly got a female Western Outfit and decides to attempt to sell it. For what you might ask? Nothing short of a Cloak of the Abyss(Female) PLUS 20 million macca. Fair deal, no?
This seemingly sparked a good laugh in quite a few people because a few people decided it'd be funny to post up Selling offers for a Cloak of the Abyss(f), just for kicks and as you can see below, quite a few have joined in. Ahh,Megaten Drama, how you quench my thirst of giggles.

Finally got a Crimson Dust of Death~

Just need the stupid bird in order to obtain the relic. 100+ runs and still no sighting. Once I DO finally get the plugin, I'm sure I have to use care about 187 times before he coughs it up the relic...

Also, bigger, more important news, Destiny hit level 10 last night! The clan is nearing it's 3rd week of existence, making us the fastest clan to hit level 10 on the server. Congrats to everyone!

You can finally hear me stop QQing about not having any 5x Cups. I played the "Rebirth in a Box" mystery package two times and got a voucher for 50 5x cups and 50 linked melons. Needless to say, my Parvatis are finally done... until the next broken FC set comes out. Praying we get MI set soon.

Yesterday I was bored (o rly?@,@) looking at the Trade List when suddenly some ppl started to pm me saying "Xay is online :o".Of course I pmed him to check, and it was true.Of course I was surprised, he left the game really fast and I don't think anyone even had the chance to say a decent goodbye.
Then he changed to CH1 and some ppl started to gather around him, and he started a RPS game, and the winner had his items as prize.At the start was like me, Royce, Pearz, cody` and lnstinct playing, then when I saw we had like a dozen of random players just wanting free stuff.
I really didn't counted the time, but someone said we played that RPS game for like 3 hours.I was happy to see him, and sad because he was leaving for real.Most ppl only knew the name "Xay" because he was the first lvl90 in the server, because he used to kill almost everyone with 1-2 hits or because he was the first to hit the Einherjar rank at PvP.But he was more than that.
He was smart, kind, funny, helpful and powerful.He used to invite everyone to party only to judge the player skills.He used to tell jokes, idiot ones and smart ones.He used to help if someone needed.He wasn't a high level noob, everything he had was because he worked for it.In the end, even if you didnt had a friendship with him, you could say he was a friend.
Anyway, in the middle of the RPS thingie, I heard the birds singing and when I noticed, was 6 AM already and I needed some sleep.I pmed him and said a short goodbye, no drama, the way he liked.I just really hope to see him again someday on Megaten or another MMO out there.

I spend my time productively.

What can I say... I really really like the Shadow Fantasy dress. Sue me for wanting to have matching characters <__<;;

I decided to pick up my gunner again, since Rapid has finally shown it's potential to me. Phacia was my old gunner who had Magic Bullet... but I lethe'd it all away 2 nights ago to change her over to a PvP Rapid build. Still having lots of fun playing melee with Rhuki. Royce is about as close to perfect as I'm going to get with a mage. By no means have I retired the character; Royce will always be my main. However I need something to occupy my time that isn't powerleveling other people or hunting for rares at the moment. Not really in the mood to make a new demon at the moment either, which is rare for me. Got 5 Shining Trapezohedrons though... maybe I'll get lucky with Nyar tonight :o

Also, got some new toys this week. No, they're not perfectly modded (yet), but they're well on their way. Well, the clan is just slightly over a week old now, and we've already managed to hit level 9. Pretty epic! This weekend was filled with some pretty intense grinding; Lielle finally hit level 90 (major congrats ^^), I managed to somehow hit level 91 without even really trying to level until the 2x event hit. I got my melee-alt Rhuki to level 60 as well. My Loki is pretty beefed up now too... Rank 6 Haglaz/Rank 3 Nauthiz/Rank 4 Tiwaz. Lielle and I also helped cody` make his Nyarlathotep (and help him push for level 86), which already does some pretty massive damage without rebirths. I guess it's time for me to actually make one of my own. *shrug* I just don't wanna farm for the stupid material to make the Shining Trapezohedrons. All in all, I think I did roughly 180-200 Ichi Golds this weekend. I hear Kirins dying in my sleep now.

Lately I've been working on my long list of treasure to hunt... starting with Zhu Que Caverns first. I'm at about 70-80 runs now (I do about 10 runs a day just to keep my sanity), still haven't seen the bird and still no Crimson Dust of Death. Sadly, I need both to make my uberspear D: After I get all that I don't know if I'll hunt for Water Bearer, Bishamonten (3/5 items already), Nyarlathotep, Emperor Sword, Cursebringer/Deathbringer, etc. Lots to do, and it's all more fun than Ichigrind. I'm not really depressed about "lack of content" like most people are right now. I'm pretty hopeful for new stuff (especially with everything that CAVE has pushed out in the past couple weeks JP-side), and the time I have to wait lets me do everything there is to do now. I need to get my demons ready for Lilith and Morrighan when they come out :o

GM Q&A is today at 3pm my time. Hopefully I can find some time while at work to join in for some lulz. Maybe I can ask where I can buy a 5-slotted GM White Fang. Still praying for a good FC tomorrow... aka an FC that doesn't give me Taunt Books.

Hello person who actually bothers to check this blog (wtf?), i'm Ardal sub-master of destiny. I'v been playing imagine since the first few weeks of CB, and i'm a lvl 78 enhancer now. I was in desire for 3 month's were i learned a majority of what i know about the game.

I spend most of my time hunting some type of field boss, in wich the value of the prize is very disproportionate to the amount of time spent (lolmmos). Currently killing tarasque boss in large numbers. And when i'm not doing that i'm wasteing time strokeing my ego in pvp. So you can find me in either fate or shinjuku docks.

I recently finished my pvp demon, and am now working on a few other demons. No pics right now. I'll make a seperate post high lighting my demons.

Economic Crisis: Pixel Shortage

I've said it once and I'll say it a thousand times more:

WE NEED AN FC WITH 5x CUPS/DEMON XP/MIRRORS/MELONS/MASTERY!

Today Liza was telling me that someone was trying to sell Demon 3x above the price of Player 3x. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, since Player XP is universal, while Demon XP is non-selectable instant use. I have about 25 Parvatis to crystalize, but there's no way in hell I'm even trying to level all those. 64-65 is annoying without Demon XP... and I'm so lazy at this point I'd rather just 5x Cup all of them and use melons to crystalize them. 34% on FM isn't exactly odds in your favor.

I'll be the first to admit it... the FC Consumables Trade-In Event is fantastic. I'm happy getting a White Phoenix voucher in exchange for my useless ECO-HP (Demons) and Mirrors of Physical/Magical Reflection. However I'm seeing people trade in stuff that's actually needed in the marketplace, like 5x Mastery, Mirrors, Demon XP, etc etc. My question is quite simple: Where the hell are all these items going? Maybe tomorrow's patch will implement a giant FC-Consumables Landfill in Shibuya. I'd personally like to see the GMs give out this stuff as prizes for events (as opposed to USELESS things like Amrita and Soma). I'm fairly certain the items will all be deleted, but one can hope D:

I know a good portion of the community shares my sentiments on the lack of GOOD consumables in the FCs lately. Heck, this is the thrid time in about a month we've seen Dutchaf. At this point I think almost every AP-spending mage and melee have one. Maybe we'll get lucky and have 7 Sisters in tomorrow's batch.

Hello, I'm Lielle, Sub-Master of Destiny.I play Imagine since the 1st day of CB, and I was a gunner for around 7 months, and now I'm a lvl 89 Fail-Mage.I was in Desire for enough time to think of it as a family, but I've felt like I was living on another person's success.That's my reason to help Roy with Destiny (the name was my idea, rawr).

And yes, I'm lazy.I don't ask for party, I just wait someone to call me.I play for fun, friends, and of course, I have a little ego that I like to feed, like any decent player.I like when someone work for a goal, and I like to help.Since I'm playing for a long time, I have a decent knowledge about the game, so if you need someone to answer questions, kill horses or tell jokes, call me.I'm usually AFK on my pole (between Armor and Weapon shop, CH1 Babel).

For now, I only use a poor Scathach that I love.It's a hybrid pvp/pve demon, not perfect in any, but useful in both.I'm working on her while I work on a full pvp demon too:

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Royce; Clan Master of Destiny.
I'm a level 90 Chaos mage (Demolition Dash, Curse of the Wretched, Enhancement) as well as a level 57 fail-synther known as Syntheia. Don't let me near your demons, I promise I'll make them Trusting D:

I've been playing Megaten for about 6 months now; hoping to see some new content soon (*coughcough Demon Quests coughcough Celu Gold coughcough*), but that's not stopping me from enjoying the community. I plan to start working on my new melee character more often, as well as EVENTUALLY obtain the Bishamonten Plugin. I'm a treasure hunter at heart and love getting new shinies. Someday I'll go Law (because it's the SMART thing to do), but there's nothing worth moving for right now until the new crystals/Morrighan comes out... so until then Loki is my BFF.

Speaking of demons, that's my biggest passion: creating new demons with custom skill-sets. I think the demon fusion system adds alot of longevity to this series, and it's the thing that drives most people insane. My two favorite demon-families are Earth Mothers and Tyrants. I've become quite skilled at making fusion trees and custom skill sets for people, so if you need help by all means ask me. I'm a fusion-expert who just so happens to be a halfway decent mage :/

Welcome to the Clan Destiny blog! Here we will announce events, leaves of absence, and have an outlet for our views and opinions on the happenings in Shin Megami Tensei: Online. Anyone in the community is more than welcome to share their opinions here as well.

Clan Destiny has been formed from the remaining crew of Clan Desire. We all will have fond memories of the great clan we all called home, but will continue to grow and pass along the strong sense of pride and bonds we shared under the Desire banner. None of us would be where we are today if it weren't for Ashura, Xay, Buffie, Taki, Atheyal, Iya, and countless others who helped us become the players we are. You aren't forgotten, and we hope you are all continuing to set positive examples in whatever endeavours you find yourselves in.
